Be a Quitter

You want to be a business owner, an artist, model, performer, web designer, or (you fill in the blank).   So, you've started but you can't do, find, afford (fill in this blank, too).  What's stopping you besides you? Quit feeling and being defeated.  You were created for prosperity possessing everything necessary to succeed.  At some point, you, me, we all must decide to give up things, habits, even folks in order to meet up with our destiny.  Read on...

Here are 10 tips to get you started on your "Quitter's Journey".
  1. Quit waiting. Determine your "why's" for waiting and quit justifying them.
  2. Quit underestimating the leverage and authority of your colleagues. It's always "who you know." Nurture those relationships.
  3. Quit delaying the return of emails and phone calls. If they call you, that's a good sign. Make it a priority to get right back to them.
  4. Quit procrastinating. Simplify your tasks by writing them down as you think about them and check them off as you run through them.  Set a time limit for each and stay off of Facebook until completed. :)
  5. Quit discussing what you're going to do and get working.  How long can you stand to hear someone talk about the business they're going to launch and the people they know, but still complain about the same life issues?  Everyone can appreciate the guy or gal who puts their hands to the plow without the need for a cheering squad.
  6. Quit relying on money as your only resource.  Money is necessary but if it's slim pickings right now, get creative.  (Actually, always employ innovation.  You'll save a bunch of money even when you're rolling around in the little green bills all over your California king size bed.)
  7. Quit doing what you've always done with the hopes of going some place you've never been.  You will have to do something you've never done to go some place you've never been.  Have no fear.
  8. Quit fearing change, it's inevitable.  What lies ahead can dramatically change your current situation.  New city, new challenges, new people.  Embrace them and walk through the open door opposed to knocking on the closed one behind you.
  9. You're only as rich as your 5 closest friends. How rich are yours in confidence, determination, focus, funds, and spirit? Birds of a feather flock together.  You choose what (or who) you may need to quit.
  10. Quit fearing failure.  My biggest successes are the result of some incredible failures.  They teach you and prune you.
